Disciples of Elemental Harmony
A downloadable game for Windows
Solo submission for the VR Jam 2020.
Note: An updated version to the project has been uploaded that has more liberal punch detection (meaning there are a lot of false positives), improved spawners from the original submission, and default bindings for all controller types.
Elemental harmony is an elegant form for a more civilzed age. It is not so random as a bow or gun, and much more versatile than a laser sword. Elemental harmony is your tool of choice and Sensei has finally invited you to advanced training. Tomorrow you will become a true disciple of elemental harmony. The power of the elements will flow.... through your fists!
Disciples of Elemental Harmony is a punch and gesture based spell casting game heavily inspired by Japanese martial arts and animated series.
Technical Details
Created in 7 days.
Features 5 gestures to cast and capture spells.
4 elements: Water, Air, Fire, and Nature / Life.
16 spells
A fully voice one on one training with the master of Elemental Harmony.
Note: Combat system had to be cut last minute, but there is still a sandbox environment and hostiles you can kill.
With the exception of SteamVR (and editor extensions) the in game scripts were created from scratch for this game.
Sensei animations are modifications of existing animations and are blocked in to teach the gestures.
Some animations and all models come from CGTraders, the Unity Asset Store, or Mixamo.
This is my first ever game jam entry and first time working in VR. I hope you enjoy this game!

You should record video I guess! The game look really GREAT! Was expecting much less from the screenshots
